How to find the flat & park

Address: Calle Huerta Nueva Door 2a  3rdfloor Flat C.

Literally last door before you get to the main drag (Avenida Juan Carlos I) .

We have a parking space. It is number  87. The access to the garage is via a remote control which you should find on the coffee table in the lounge, and car entry via Calle Cristóbal Ruiz Méndez. The entry is again the last garage on that street - the closest to Avenida Juan Carlos I.

The way you get to the garage is via the lift in the flat. There is a small key on the fob with the remote control. Put it in the lift and turn to go down (or back up if you are in the garage).

The parking space is the one to the right just outside the lift door (in a block of 3 with a wall to one side). The numbers are painted on the floor on the strips but these are quite faded.Basically when you come down the ramp hug to the left wall and keep going round till you see the numbers on the wall.

Inside the flat

There is wi-fi – it may need plugging in. Details are on the bottom of the router

Hot water tank is on the balcony by the kitchen. Clive and Trudi usually switch it on when they know guests are coming. You’ll soon know if it isn’t on. Just leave it switched on all the time you’re there.

Towels, beach towels and bedding are all in the flat.

There are recycling bins and rubbish bins on the corner of Avenida Juan Carlos 1. They are emptied frequently.

When you leave – please strip the beds and put all dirty laundry by the kitchen balcony. Don’t put a wash on – the cleaner will take care of that.

There is a washing machine on the balcony by the kitchen.

As a courtesy to the next guest, please replace any finished (or very low) household items like toilet paper, laundry detergent, washing up liquid, bin bags and dishwasher tablets.

Chiringuito Paco

This is the nearest beach. We rent sunbeds there when we are in town. 5 Euros a day. They do great food all day long and are very friendly. Basically walk down Avenida Juan Carlos and when you get to the sea, it is the shack in front of you.  Ask for Pacqui or Ana and tell them you’re my friend (Carlo from London) and they will look after you.

Must try:

  • Puntillitas – fried baby squid
  • Veg a la plancha
  • Red pepper salad
  • Sardines on the wood fire
  • Grilled gambas
  • Squid ink paella
  • Lamb chops

...all delicious. This is a great option for eating at odd times since they kitchen is open non-stop from about 13:00 to about 23:00.
